    ... 12 in the afternoon, this is good. If I'm lost at any time, this is when it should be.

    I started walking to the buses, passing by all the cabbies who were ready to take a poor lost soul to her hostel.

    "Death before cabs." I whispered to myself as I trudged on. After my awful 70 euro cab experience in Geneva, I refuse to take cabs alone unless it's an absolute emergency.

    ... the bar was down a side street, and most establishments looked decidedly closed), we were relieved to find "La Venencia" open for business.

    The extent of the items on offer was six different sherries, and a small selection of tapas! Dusty bottles lined the walls, and oak barrels behind the bar stored the sherry (the proprietor's wife occasionally filled a new bottle, before popping it in a fridge below the ancient counter).     ... the help that Spain provided to save temples which would be destroyed by the building of the Aswan dam in Egypt. It is not a large temple and since we deferred our trip to Egypt in 2011 we thought we should see it.

    From the temple we walked to a restaurant we plan to eat at tomorrow afternoon and made a booking then walked back to the apartment stopping for something to eat and drink on the way.

    ... to Madrid around 7 pm. At 8 the group was taking us to La Celestina. I was going to go home before then to drop off my stuff but getting back at 7 gave me no time. So instead I went with some friends to a restaurant to have tapas and wine. The restaurant was across the street from the theater which was nice. When I got to me seat at the theater it was so comfortable and the play was boring at the beginning so I fell asleep. But I woke up for the action scenes ...
