... eat i take a walk into the old town and the main square. It is packed with tourists, but it is nice and quiet. This is such a pretty place form what i have seen so far. Prague was very lucky as it avoided being bombed during ww2, so it is in very good condition.

Had to spend part of the first day in a shopping mall to keep out of the heat. Then its a nice evening stroll along the Vltava River, where its nice and cool. ...

... was a sharp-edged rack. The suspect was put astride on the instrument until the top pierced the flesh causing often permanent genital damage. One woman was condemned to 15 hours of the Billy Goat. She admitted to her crime after three hours but they made her sit on it for another 5 hours.

... Quarter we wanted to see a couple of the Synagogues that considering their location inside a formerly Nazi occupied city are amazingly well preserved. We learnt this was for 2 reasons, Hitler had planned to retire in Prague and provided specific instruction for it to be looked after during the war, he also wanted the Synagogues to be preserved as a monument to an extinct race. A very morbid backstory that has thankfully left a fantastic city. Unfortunately for us ...

It's Carm's birthday today. I've sent her a birthday wish and hope she has a lively day. The time now is 11.56am. We both slept in to 10am which was great as we were very tired. We are out now having breakfast at a cafe on Wenceslas Square. I've ordered scrambled eggs and Pudd is having pancakes with tirimisu sauce. Today we have to collect our overnight train journey tickets to Krakow which we booked online a few weeks ago, and then we are heading to Prague Castle ...

... a police report and get things sorted out. I took foreeeeever for them to do their thing. Finally we were free and we went into Old Town. Though I wasn't in the best of moods, we got to see the beautiful town square during the day and watch all the people. There were street performers everywhere- but very talented ones!
