... in Prague and are scattered throughout the city. Inside the wallpaper of the synagogue is a list of the 80,000 Jews from Prague that were murdered during the Holocaust. The names were grouped by village and family name. Before World War II there were more than 100,000 Jews in Prague and while some left or escaped, most were killed. As we walked through the synagogue staring at the walls, a recording of the "Mourner's Kaddish" was played to show respect for the victims.
