Said our farewells to everyone this morning and then we set out for the old Olympic stadium. On the way there we witnessed the changing of soldiers at their post which was kinda cool. ... to say it was all about the flowers and the ocean, but really the smell that permeates the most is diesel. The whole places smells like a lawn mower. Its all the tourists of quad bikes and motorbikes and Vespa's. Its not bad - just something else I wasn't expecting.

We wander around the shops, most stuff is quite pricey - being on an island and all puts up the costs I guess - butyl seriously 3.90 euros for one kiwi fruit is a bit much!

... simple things one misses while away and a cozy day in bed or on the couch with a friend certainly is high on that list. So I feel bad that Langer didn't have the trip we both had expected, but doing nothing and having her there was good enough for me.
