Ko Phangan, Thailand
Took a ferry from Koh Samui which only took about half an hour. Staying in Baan Tai, between the two main towns in huts by the beach called My Phangan. We were the only people staying in the resort most nights. When we went to the local restaurant, after ordering what you want and the one guy working there takes off in his jeep to go shopping for the ingredients. He then comes back and cooked the best curries in the world ever. The Black Moon party on the Saturday night. Its a big beach part...
Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand jimibakerSaturday 21st January 2006 We jumped on the mini van to take us to Surat Thani or so we thought, a couple of minutes down the road we got out and had to change to another one, 2 hours later we got off again and had to wait for another bus to the pier. The bus only just made it in time to catch the ferry, we walked onto the boat and waited over an hour until we docked at Ko Samui. We had to walk off the boat thinking we would get back on the bus to take us to the nearest town, but no apparentl...
Ko Samui, Thailand kateandandy... morning, the tide is out, which makes this walk possible. It stunning views the entire way, and once I find a place where I can upload photos, everyone can see! When I got there, the beach itself is nice enough, but would probably be nicer if it didn't have broken glass and empty beer bottles strewn everywhere. Also, I think because of the number of tourists there, and general pollution that comes with an ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand andreazl... was next up. The boat headed to a site called White Rock, where we hoped to see some sharks. They remained elusive, however, and we saw none. Our bottom time at White Rock was 43 minutes, and we went down to 18 metres once more. We saw blue-ringed angelfish, longfin bannerfish, Hong Kong butterfly fish, a titan triggerfish who got annoyed by our camera woman's close-ups and tried to nibble her, and also another blue spotted stingray. Puzzlingly I was ...
Ko Tao, Thailand alastair6... fresh fruit, and granola parfaits! It was a part of our daily routine.

The day after the Full Moon, we mostly slept. We walked on the beach and ended up eating dinner at one of the aforementioned movie theater restaurants and watched The Notebook. After the movie, we got a Thai pancake at the stand near our hotel. I can't remember if I've described these yet but they are the most spectacular creation in the world and we first discovered them in Krabi. The ...

I am going to savour it as after I start work again.
I think the yoga is showing some improvements not that you would tell by the look on my face when i'm in the poses and the cursing under my breath.
We had a South African girl arrive today for 7 days and she lives in Putney and is travelling for a year. Such a small world really. I'm sure I am going to meet so many nice people from all over the world which is very exciting. I'm off to glinb the big steep hill back ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand lizcap... will go further back from the shore and many of the shore side places are being redeveloped. The days of the beach shack are over and the beach chalets are now increasingly substantial places with aircon and price tickets to match. (Meanwhile, I’m staying in one of the older style of bungalow about 10m back from the beach; I don’t have aircon but it is only £5 a night).

However, the island’s infrastructure remains extremely poor and ...
Ko Tao, Thailand jenandtony... the most stunning girl you have ever seen in your life) so Pauly concentrated on the group & I had 121 guidance for nothing so got my monies worth. Ko Tao, Thailand maidykm... next few days was sleeping and transferring to Koh Tao. Koh Tao is where I'm at now. It's a quiet island which is only a few km's either way in size. It's mostly a diving and snorkeling island which the most beautiful marine life I've ever seen! I took a snorkeling trip and would consider diving course if had more time. Next time, I just didn't have the cash and wasn't that prepared to learn to dive. But the snorkeling was amazing and ...
