So the last few days have been... interesting. Unfortunately, Franci brought a virus over from Aus with him. Turns out in the 24-36 hours since we left, most of his office has been caught out by a nasty gastro virus which managed to take Franci down on Sunday and me 24 hours later. It was awful but we are both now making great recoveries and trying to make up for lost time! The sad thing was that because I was hit on Monday, it meant I didn't make it out ...

We had a slow start on Saturday but when Alessandro dropped us off we had arranged to meet him and his girlfriend, Claudia, for lunch. ... used to be a Merchant Banker in Milano but has since retired from that and now works in one of the family restaurants. In apparently typical European fashion, 20 minutes from reaching Piacenza we stop at a highway rest stop for a caffe.
