Leg 2 of my flight is now complete. Cincinnati to Paris was uneventful, despite the fact that I sat next to four children under the age of 6, the woman behind me spoke like Roseanne Barr, and I made the unfortunate mistake of saying, a little too loudly, I am going to shoot someone before this flight is over, before we even took off. 7.5 hours was the flight time. The seat next to me stayed empty so I was ...
Paris, France andialeigh... I still ordered in French. How weird is that? The server did speak English though, and was very nice. We had Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Springrolls (Thai or Vietnamese style), Cantonese Fried Rice, and Grilled Pork all for under 20 Euros. It was a good, light meal. The kids LOVED it. After eating, we went into a cool store that had beautiful tea pots, all kinds of cooking and serving paraphenalia, and other various Asian cooking items. It was fun to ...
Paris, France kitkatgo... looking online at. You can't find Longchamp in Canada. I also spent a whopping 6 Euros on 4 macarons at Pierre Herme, but I love them and I figure I'll never have them again as they are a French thing. This week upcoming is busy--visits to Assemblee Nationale, Senat, and a reception at a law firm. Plus Paris plage is on and we're curious to see what that is. Jen and I also have plans to visit the catacombes...spooky!
Paris, France eileen.tan... mopeds, or buses in any sort of straight line. I would not drive through this thing if my life depended on me. After experiencing the mayhem of French drivers; I wandered my way to the Moulin Rouge, because seriously, if you're in Paris, you have to get a picture of it. I wasn't prepared for excitement or jaw dropping views, and that's pretty much how it turned out. I did find out how much it costs though to see a show...at least 100 euros! No thanks. Having gotten my ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France dabassisst... is always enjoyable in Paris because there is so much to see and everything is truly beautiful, until it started pouring rain. Somehow, out of nowhere, Kristina (my roommate in Rome) was able to call me and I met her and 2 other friends at the Musee D'Orsay. They planned on going inside, but since I had already been there and they were exhausted from trying to fit all the sights into just a few days, we grabbed a luscious ...
Paris, France sena... had docked early and about to unload 6,000 screaming tourists upon quaint Villefranche, all scrambling for a taxi at the same time! We latched onto our taxi driver for the short drive and he dropped us off in plenty of time to catch the train for 10 stops up the road to Juan Les Pins. Sunday's are a bit tricky with the train schedule and Laurie read the departure time wrong so we ended up reading our books for ...
Juan Les Pins, France rlineurope... I doing. A way to show that what I'm doing is not too crazy! Whose never dream to get the time of his life and to open yourself up and be receptive to it all. Be a willing spirit and take it all in: the people, the ...
Paris, France worldtaste... about the Swiss culture, but now I feel like I have an idea about how those neutral people spend some of their time when not making knives and chocolate. Some people went swimming in the lake, but were do ne by the time we got there, so Rachael, Diana, and I went walking around the town. Out of no where it started pouring, like torrential rains that seemed like it was out of a movie, and we got stuck no where near the hotel. After waiting around by a store for a little bit with a ...
Paris, France fatofi... and so took the ferry that night. And can I just say when traveling with a fixed time schedule FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS!!! After getting back to Athens and relaxing a bit I started doing the touristy things and seeing the sights (beware all the archeological sights close at 3:00pm.) Saturday rolls around and voila! The white board at the hostel says the strike is now going on till at least Monday, which by the way is the day I left so I could get back to work that evening ...
