Spent most of the day after my birthday chilling on the beach in or in the lazy house bar watching films. Met a guy called Angus there who went on to introduce me to the rest of his group - 6 of them (3 girls 3 guys) who were all planning on going to Koh Tao the next day so decided to go with them. Got to Koh Tao yesterday and forgot how much I love this place! It's so much more beautiful and chilled than the other island! Once we arrived it took us about an hour ...
... were all hot and sweaty by the time we got on the bus! :( The buses in Thailand aren't quite as good as the rest of Asia as they don't fully recline and no footrest, but it did the job, even though we were extremely uncomfortable!!! I finally dosed off to be awoken by a man shouting "Koh Tao, Koh Tao!" We got off, a little puzzled along with some other people, looked at the time and it was 3:40am!!! They told us to wait there as another bus was coming, ...
... had a pool that we could dip our feet in, after a few 'happy hour' jugs of cocktails we were back in the taxi heading to Buddha View. We walked along the beach and found a restaurant with cushions to sit on facing the beach and under palm trees we ate noodles and drank beers, we were chucked out at closing time and ready to go to bed after our long hot day in the sunshine.
