... Isle-of-Man it was the machine for the job. Had I taken the Transalp on these sections I would be worried at damaging the exhausts and engine casings as it does not have such a good ground clearance as the Tenere!!

All in all both bikes are good for what they are built for but the Transalp is great for wintry snowy conditions and the Tenere is better for really hard off-road riding. After this trip I feel I can take either of the two bikes anywhere around this ...
