      ... HUGE park) 10 miles south of Eufaula, OK. The entry road was miles long into the park. There was an airstrip, 18 hole golfcourse, horse rentals, marina and boat rentals absoluetly no one here. Price was right. With water and electric: $21.

      Monday, drove short distance to town of Eufaula, OK. Dreary kind of place. Went to their one grocery store-very, very poor selection of foods ...

      ... and warm-hearted people today…what a nice town to spend a day in. As Cliff said, no one’s in a huge rush around here and everyone knows each other, so it makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. We were even told to keep the combination code to the gate lock at the fairgrounds in case we ever pass through there again and need a free place to stay. I really love small towns and I’m really humbled by how inviting they’ve been to us…

      ... fiasco we decided to get some lighter fluid and some presto logs. The wood was HARD wood. Oak, I'm sure. That's all over down here. Tonight I asked the attendant what kind of wood it is.. "Oak, hickory and some other wood," probably hardwood. So tonight we are ready for any wood they want to throw at us. We also found a liquor store and got some rum and Kahlua.       ... traffic was so heavy on both interstate and cross roads. Decided it would be a hassle so we kept trucking.

      Made it to Muskogee in eastern Oklahoma about 25 miles north of I40 as I wanted to stay at HI Express and none on interstate. A long and tiring day. Tomorrow its through Arkansas to Jackson, TN which is 70 miles north of Shiloh. ...
