Music Road Hotel saved our vacation!

    from

My family vacationed in Pigeon Forge last week. After a sleepless one night stay at another hotel, I immediately started looking for somewhere else to stay the next morning. Fortunately, Music Road Hotel could accomodate us for the remainder of our stay. The large room and bathroom was a pleasant surprise in addition to the friendly staff. Our children enjoyed the heated water park pool more than anything else we did while on vaction! The serene patio on the back of hotel had plenty of rockers to overlook the water below. The only personal complaint I have was the air conditioning unit in our room was a bit loud to me. However, my family had no problems sleeping through its humming. Overall, the hotel was well worth the extra money we spent to stay there. I am looking forward to going back WITHOUT the children so I can relax in a rocker and enjoy nature on the back patio!

    Romantic Getaway

    from

May 2004 - We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary at this romantic, beautiful hotel. The staff were exteremly friendly, (even one of the workers were originally from our hometown & found out they lived just a street away from us), we had a jaccuzi king suite with a river/mountain view. The room was very clean, the towels were folded like bows, and the view was so romantic that me & my husband actually fall in love all over again! The hotel was packed with kids that weekend however we never heard anyone in the halls or on the floor above us. The pool was opened & its heated & the grounds were very well maintained. The staff even remembered us when we came down for breakfast in the morning! Now that is definetly worth a return trip! We will return again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend! One we won't forget! If you take in a show, must go to the Comedy Barn, I laughed til I cried!

Loved it--you have to stay here!

    from

We just returned home from a bus trip that I planned with 38 people. WE stayed at the Music Road Hotel for 2 nights in Pigeon Forge, TN. WE absolutely loved this place. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, the rooms were fabulous, and the view was fantastic. Sitting at breakfast on the back porch is a river/stream and of course the mountains are to the side.

The kids loved the heated pool area. At first it seemed small, but once we got in there, we found it was just the right size for our group. It does have a lazy river and tubes, and the big pool has a slide. Nothing fancy, but very fun. (our group was 29 kids ages 10-14 and chaperones). We got great rates on the internet and then confirmed with group sales. Ended up paying group rate of $59.00 a night. But while at the desk a passerby stopped in and was quoted $69.00 for a room. (this is a great deal, the rooms are big, bathrooms are large (phone, duel sinks) and the halls are quiet and beautiful.

Make this a stop if you are ever headed to Pigeon Forge.

    Best Hotel Yet!

    from

Music Road is the best hotel stay in TN! We've rented cabins, stayed in other hotels and this was the best yet. The pool/arcade is perfect for kids. The hotel is clean and beautiful. Employees were awesome. Would highly recommend and we will definately stay again!

The BEST place in Pigeon Forge

    from

This hotel is gorgeous and makes you feel like one of the rich folks!

We stayed in a family suite with our 3 children and we had the time of our lives. Our suite was on the corner and had a wrap around balcony that faced the river and had a stupendous view of the mountains. The outdoor pool area is wonderful - the water is extra warm and the slide and lazy river kept our kids entertained for hours. The indoor pool is nice, also. The service is great and the only thing that is average is the breakfast. Nothing spectacular -just donuts, danish, gravy/biscuits, cereal and bagels. The prices are very high especially on the weekend. But you should splurge on this one at least one time and be sure to get a river view room.

    You must try this place!

    from

Very clean, pools were great, especially outdoor pool, very large, had huge slide and lazy river for the kids. Outdoor pool area could have been kept a little cleaner of trash (paper cups, plates etc.) Suites are very nice with riverside view, single rooms not quite as nice but all very clean and well kept, staff is helpful and breakfast is good. Overall one of the nicest places to stay in Pigeon Forge, in town close to Dollywood and all attractions. Within walking distance to Great American Steak House.

    Totally Awesome!

    from

This hotel is great! I love every single thing about it! *-Especially the pool, with the water slide and lazy river!-* this is definitely the best hotel I've ever stayed at! Everything I have to say about this hotel is great! The continental breakfast was phoneminal! This is definitely a must see hotel! Go see for yourself at Music Road Hotel!

    Great location

    from

stayed here twice now-great hotel-rooms need a little sprucing up. our kids loved the pool. excellent location.

    Absolutely Wonderful!

    from

This is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. The housekeeping staff are extremely efficient as well as friendly. Everyone makes you feel right "at home".

Nice place! - needs some attention....

    from

We have stayed at Music Road twice now... It is a very nice place. We love the Lobby with the roaring fire in the massive fireplace, and the stone patio along the creek.

However, when we stayed there last Fall, our son started to jump on the bed. After that, the dust, mold, etc. had us choking all night. May be time for new bedding and a serious cleaning! Also, unless you find a good rate, the published rates are a little high. And, forget any room that faces the parking lot. Without that balcony over the creek, it doesn't seem worth it!

We have also stayed at Laurel Crest Condominiums... Do not know what the going rates are - since our 1Br had been payed for. We had a very nice (but not quite luxury)unit overlooking the large pool, jacuzzi, small playground... It was great! We would return there.

Also, at the MainStay Suites, the pool area with the Lazy River and Kiddie pool are really great for families.. Nice (but basic) suites there may be a bit cheaper. And, this place is definately 'quiet' and 'comfortable' since it is not located right on the main road in Pigeon Forge.

... hopefully it's clearer then. Another bear encounter here as well. Mama and yearling cub about 100 ft. away. Most yearlings are on their own by June so we had a clingy mom or a reluctant-to-leave child but they hung around for about 10 minutes. I have now visited all 48 lower states and have only Biscayne Nat. Park in Miami left to visit. Sooo ...

Jack Daniels makes charcoal for filtering and mellowing the whiskey out of stacks of maple slats. There are two full-time employees that sit on a stump and watch the wood burn under huge stainless steel hoods. Hmmm...I think I could do that job. Yesterday, before leaving Nashville, we had to check out the number one activity on Trip Advisor - the Escape Game. Not I have to admit, it read a little strange. The basic concept was that you were locked in a room for an hour and you had to escape by solving puzzles and clues. We were intrigued. So, with such a long drive ahead of us to the Smoky Mountains, we booked on the early slot. When we arrived, we were treated by a girl who gave us a few rules ...

Spent the day saying goodbye to the Great Smoky Mountains. Drove all the way to Cherokee for a wonderful lunch and then came back and drove through Cade's Cove. Just as we were entering a buck deer crossed right in front of us. So beautiful. Saw a total of 3 bucks. Even saw a bear!! It ...

    Fishing, millipede and pizza shack

After white water rafting we ate at this amazing pizza shack that served pizza only and no seats but only a deck with a game of hook and a ring toss. We then fished and looked for rubies and sapphires and found some! Jesse found this ugly disgusting millipede! He finds the weirdest bugs and ...
