5th March - it's cold this morning! The stove won't boil water for eggs or coffee. We assume gas is low. Another amenity lost! We conquer our first capital city as we enter Brussels. Unfortunately the Palais de Justice is scaffolded so not looking as impressive as it might. The view across the city from in front of it is great though. The cobbled streets look great to explore but we need to find wifi to find gas. We don't get to see much of Brussels but we do find gas ...

I wanted to know the location of the location of the baggage claim area in relation to the arrival terminal and find a convenient place where we could meet after she had cleared customs. It ...

... German dishes. The daily soup turned out to be a Vietnamese vegetable soup with black beans which was served with some bread. At first I thought it was quite lightly seasoned, but it was still enjoyable and the light seasoning allowed the flavours of the vegetables to shine nicely. I am a soup queen…I make some mean soups, so it is sometimes hard to impress me! The raw spaghetti was really enjoyable, it came with the 'noodles’ tossed in a creamy avocado sauce and a ...

Going to the Theater

A travel blog entry by alishastommel on Oct 27, 2012

... circus acts, acting, singing, and instrument playing. The actors of the theater production created every aspect of the performance including the script, costumes, and songs. It was a lot of fun and the theater was old fashioned and small. I was really impressed by how talented everybody was. Today Germany got its first snow but I think Vermont already theirs. Not sure how I feel about snow when it's only October but the old buildings sure look pretty frosted in dusty ...
