... and drove to our hotel just outside of Stuttgart where we met Taylor's employee, Britta. After checking in, we drove to downtown Stuttgart. Britta took us to the Rathaus (town hall) and showed us an interesting elevator thing called a paternoster. It's like an doorless, continually moving multi-cab elevator. Well, we're here in fabulous Deutschland!

The airport in Toronto was a breeze to go through. We arrived 3 hours early, not so we would have plenty of time to get through check-in and security, rather so we would get through in time to watch the Germany/Algiers world cup match. We spent the weekend in Stuttgart, Germany. It is 2 1/2 hours from Darmstadt (once again on the Autobahn). After checking into our lovely hotel, we drove to the Mercedes Museum. We spent around 4 hours learning the history of the Mercedes-Benz as well as reading historical events that occurred throughout different eras.
