... had a great time as the weather was very nice as well

From there we travelled to Stanthorpe (where it is windy and cold) but warmed up byt going wine tasting

The area has a 100 year old history of wine making and produces some very nice reds and sparkling as well as a multitude of wines mad from many unique and rarer grapes (mostly Italian grape varieties) - of course we had to buy a few

      Till next time

Our next morning began with a cooked brekky of scrambled eggs (from their chickens and one duck who thinks he's a chicken) and a zucchini and tomato dish (can't remember the Italian for it - Peppranata?). Our highlight of the day was going to Giraween NP and walking the Pyramids. We have photos of this which we'll post as soon as possible. This was a truly amazing sight of the Granite Belt's hidden beauty ...

It took us three and a half hours return followed by our usual swim and BBQ. We pushed on south into Tenterfield, NSW where we stocked up on provisions and gained an hour due to daylight savings. We camped 9km north of Glenn Innes at rest area number 145 in the free camps ...

... our mud driving (don’t get caught in a rain storm at Menindee Lakes), before visiting Broken Hill. We had a great time there and got to go underground at an abandoned silver mine which was built for short people! From Broken Hill we went to Moree (via Nyngan) and spent a few nights, recovering in the Thermal Pools and generally relaxing after driving some 5000 kilometres. From Moree, we went to the farm at Stanthorpe (to unpack) and then home, where we prepared ...

... of locally produced wine! I even got to drive the tractor! Fair Dinkum!

The next morning, (6 AM) I managed to drag my ass out of bed and run a 10 k race up Mt. Marlayll! Sleep deprived and hungover I still manged to pull a 4th place finish from my ass. (insert praise here)

After the weekend, Cathy and I had to head back to Brisbane to catch our flight. Good ...
