Today we woke up to bright blue sky. Had made plans to head out for a picnic lunch but instead got talking to some new arrivals. The sky soon darkened and the rain came down and ended up staying in for lunch. It got quite cool so we tried out the central heating in the van. Very nice and cosy. The sun came out again and ...

    Living the dream in Stanthorpe

... listening to Dave pluck it out with Jenny backing up on guitar. I attempted to play Dave's 100 year old violin but quickly decided that I need more practice!! What a high to begin our trip. Travelled from Woolgoolga to Stanthorpe today and felt the temperature drop. Took a shortcut off the Gwydir Highway to meet the New England Highway (bypassing Glen Innes) and it shook the caravan like mad. Lost a couple of coffee mugs, but realised that we had packed the van reasonably well to have not lost more.

Must remember to latch the fridge in future though, as cleaning up ...

... Saved us both 100 bucks each!!! Yeeeee Haaaawwwww!

We arrived so early in Brisbane that we had 8 hours before our flight! We hopped on a river boat, went for a cruise, walked around downtown and were bona fide tourist for the day! The sun even popped out for an hour and we were able to go swimming at South Bank.

    Back to Melbourne!!!
