... it was off to Jester Hill for tasting and a lunch. The food was really great, but the wines were brutal...really strong on the alcohol smell and vinegary/sour tasting :(

A brief stop at Aratula again to grab some yummy Stanthorpe tomatoes and apples, and it was off home.

My wine rack full, my wallet empty, and another new place ticked off my list!!

We are very impressed with this area - walking tracks great, camping ground great, and there is also a day picnic area which is lovely also and you can swim here as well.

We are now sitting in the car sending this blog at Wallangarra as there is no reception at camping area, which isn't great, but hey you can't have ...

Thursday October 3rd I really appreciated a great hot shower this morning at our Leslie Dam campsite, a lovely, peaceful place to camp. We drove back through Warwick and headed south on the New England Highway. At Thulimbah we visited Vincenzo's at the ...

When Nick & I first met, he always made it clear that he wanted to travel. Who would have thought that after 30+ years, 3 children and 6 dogs, it would finally be happening!

But, no-one ever said that there would be so much work involved in getting ready! Thank goodness for the Internet – Nick has been reading blogs from fellow travellers, following current affairs, researching methods of moving our vehicle (but which vehicle) and buying maps (!!!) ...

    ... to Stanthorpe Road.

The Ingelwood to Stanthorpe Road is so scenic, mountain ranges popping up in front of you, a dam to the west, lots of farming properties. In 90 kms we only saw two cars, an added bonus.

Once in Stanthorpe we headed to a shop to buy Sharon some supplies for a project she is working on. Really lovely lady in the shop and most helpful and fun, we both learnt a lot.
