Hola Amigos! We made it 25km today to Puenta La Reina! We left Pamplona at 6am because we heard it would be a 38c hot day.. Well we made 24 kms... no back packs ... lots of water and it was 36 degrees. We came around the corner of the town we are staying in to find our sanctuary right there! A fantastic little alburgue with a private 2 bed room and private shower. Miguel our host notices we are limping.. dah.. and offers us blister treatments. Well ...

The pitches were in an almond grove and I could see the nuts forming on the trees, all around the perimeter of the small site were sculptures and in unexpected corners there were ancient motorbikes done up as 'art'. It was a lovely place and there were lots of interesting walks and a delightful ancient village about 1km from the site but sadly for most of my stay there were only two of us there, myself and an elderly Spanish couple ...
