Today we cycled from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, a city that is located on the Mediterranean coast. It was difficult to leave Girona this morning as we thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation, food and city atmosphere last night. We rode along the canal through the city and continued on the El Carrilet cycle path. We passed farms of pears, quinoa and corn; forests of maple, pine ...

Then we travelled through farms and country gardens. Along the way we ...

We have been eating out because it is so cheap here. I ...

... and secular. Many copied him so there is even more modernist work around town, like ceramic seating bench/lamp posts in the main streets. Suitable awestruck, "the most amazing sight for many a day", we were back on the bus again and back to the main square, Placa Catalunya. Too late to eat at camp, so we stopped for a not inspirational Catalan dinner before heading back to camp on the train. Still 26 degrees. We could not believe we were moaning about the heat, after so much cool ...

... degrees. At dinner time, decided to go out for dinner. The whole beach side suburb of El Masnou had seen better days, lots of businesses closed down. Finally found a tapas bar that was open, who told us most places do not open until 8.30. Too late for us, so back to camp after eating. Rob and Rob went on for paella. Noisy before we finally got to ...
