... just got that. Does it?) Anyway, that's my favorite kind of mozzarella. And it said it had pomodorini -- little tomatoes. I was psyched. This was for sure going to be the best pizza yet. But then it arived. And it didn't have any sauce. I was so bummed. I kept swearing. Out loud. The waiter told me a side of pizza sauce would be cold so I just sucked it up. <br><br>Until.<br><br>I took a moment.<br><br>I said to myself, "Josie, a margherita pizza is 3 euro. You love pizza. Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... Italian name changers. But I can't keep which is which straight. And I'm not in the mood to look it up. Mea culpa.) Anyway, it was spectacular. I opted for a guided tour for 10euro rather than the audio guide for 6.50euro. But it was taking forever for the guy to amass the necessary 6-7 people. Finally we had 5 people and I had been waiting about 25 minutes. I stood by him for about 5 minutes and then said, I'm doing the audio guide ...
Sorrento, Campania, Italy josiezimTomorrow morning we catch a train for Sorrento. We will be there for 4 nights. We will take day trip to Amalfi, but we will not be staying at the hotel there. Joe and I decided that our stay on the Amalfi coast will be more enjoyable if we do not change hotels , so we extended our stay at the hotel in Sorrento, and cancelled the one in Amalfi. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you needed to reach us.
Sorrento, Campania, Italy mandjcann... time I've ever experienced! Anyway, at 7:55 I went to check out the menu of the vegetarian restaurant. While it looked delicious I thought to myself, "Josie, you love pizza. You are in Naples. You had some pretty amazing pizza for lunch. Shouldn't you just go back and have it again for dinner?"<br><br>And so I did.<br><br>Ironically they seated me at the exact same table as before. I, again, was paired with another group at ...
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... the town decimated but preserved from Mt. Vesuvius erupting in the first century. Throughout the week, we had the pleasure of being wined and dined by Sophie’s parents and we had some amazing food, the seafood was stellar.<br><br>Positano Pictures<br>http://picasaweb.google.com /Jonny.D.Lawrence/20091030Positano?auth key ...
Positano, Campania, Italy sofenjon... umbrella and raincoat got soaked through to our underwear! Next day it rained hard too but did not mind a lazy day with no sightseeing. The city of Naples has a few nice areas but is a really dirty city and one day of sightseeing was plenty. Seeing Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from a distance is the best way to see them but south of Naples and the Almafi coast is not to be missed.
Naples, Campania, Italy pathenger... cross and then followed them.<br><br>The CitySightseeing buses were a great way to view the city in a short period of time. As the bus navigated around the city streets, we noticed that the car of choice was the smart car. Good thing! I could not imagine driving anything larger in this city! Parking was a premium everywhere! Anywhere you could find enough space the size of a throw rug, you ...
Naples, Campania, Italy ricknelsie... br><br>Thankfully we made it to Anacapri - although I did get caught in the opening door of the bus (my tummy is bigger than what I thought). From here, we decided to try again and walk to the Blue Grotto and at the same time see the sights in town. The walk turned out to be longer than expected; maybe an hour. It's quite beautiful so if you have the time, it's worth it.<br><br>We finally made it to the Blue Grotto where we had to take the steps ...
Anacapri, Campania, Italy amykclancy... the dense mountainside. The ocean winds were in my hair, the secrets of the forest fairies whispered in my ears, and the triumph of the conquer was swift in my heart. I know it will be a long time before I return to Capri, so I almost feel as if I need to soak up all I can because it will be gone soon enough.
Anacapri, Italy matt.lawrence... doing only three courses and an appetizer, but we think with practice and less bread we could have made it. The fruit was superb and the bread was the best we've had in Italy. That was probably the best watermelon I've ever had. Of course, with dessert we had a cappuccino (I'm so unclear on how to spell that. Does it have two c's or not? In English it does, but some of the Italian menus only have one.) so we were up for hours. We decided ...
