    ... us that the fireworks were on July 31 and Not August 1. As a result, we did not go to basel for the fireworks.

    But we are going today to stomp around one I our favourite Swiss cities. Let's see how we make out........okay - we arrived in Mannheim to make our connection on the ICE (Inter-City-Express) to Basel. Let's see if this driver can drive 'er over 300kph. I'll be watching.

    ... was looking for squirrels, but none were around. But we did see woodpeckers, which kept her happy. She says she saw a few different types of tits, too, but we wont go there. After walking around we had lunch at the base of the falls. I had the biggest bock wurst sausage in the smallest bun I've ever seen. Looked ridiculous but tasted great. Had a look in some of the tourist shops. Tried on ...

    ... it was shut til 15:00 so we decided to head to the Motor Museum that day - The museum is home to the Schlumpf Collection, which is classed as the most Prestigious Collection in the world and the Largest collection of Bugatti's - in total there are over 400 cars in the collection...there are plenty of pictures and a video of Tom going for a spin or roll in one of the cars...

    We stayed a couple of nights, visited Mulhouse centre but not a great deal to see here...

    Keeping the French style theme rolling, we broke the fast with pain au chocolat and croissants, and started our great ride by catching the Eurovelo 6 road to Basel. If you haven't heard about eurovelo, check it out, it's basically a network of bicycle paths going all around Europe, super convenient and a great way to discover the old continent. Exiting Mulhouse, we went along a nice canal, crossing ways with fellow touring cyclists, and enjoying the sunshine ...

    ... all now safely covered, water level checked etc.)and tidy up! We intend leaving Casa del Norris as immaculate as we found it.

    Once again a huge, huge 'Thank you" to the Norrises for lending us their home; it was lovely. The attached photo shows it at its idyllic best.

    Leaving for the UK via Brussels to see OMA in Weston Super Mare and then onwards to Mayo where the next posting will come from - July 21.
