... and air con were very much welcomed!

Sunday was my 19th Birthday, Ocean had bought me a Vietnamese hat, Chinese toy axe as well as a bracelet and tiger balm. We had great fun with the hat and axe! Dave, our Desk Officer from Project Trust arrived at lunch time. We showed him around Kutchum a wee bit and went out for dinner with Pi Nat, Pi Anne and Mam Sung to the fancy restaurant! ... our passport with no hassle and a lovely smile. On Laos soil now we're thinking we're home and dry! We're smiling, Tash is getting happily hooked on Scandal, we know there's maybe five hours to go then we can settle in for the night in our new home Laos. At about 2pm we're ducking and diving down a road, avoiding the potholes- then BOOM- a huge bang and one of the back tyres blows. We're in the middle of nowhere but the guys staffing the bus seem to have ...

If you are planning to charter a boat from Champasak and combine a trip to Um Muang and Wat Muang Kang, that is possible, but that would cost you 200,000 to 300,000kip for the boat, you may consider if that's worth it.

I personally don't think it's worth it, so I decided to go to Savannakhet instead and see if I can sign up a tour for Dong Phu Vieng NPA.

I bought the tuk tuk ticket to Pakse from the hotel I stayed in Champasak, ...
