The Vietnamese immigration guys look at our passports for what feels like forever- trying to make sense of all their stamps. Eventually they nod us through and on to the friendly Laos immigration staff who whack a ...

... and enthusiastic curator who encouraged us to handle the bones and even demonstrated where in the body they'd be from and told us all about the digs and where each bone had been found! Incredible!

After all of this we headed to the bus station, determined this time to arrive somewhere in the light and at the beginning of a day so as to make sure not to fall foul of the delays and with a guesthouse already booked to greet us when we arrived. Little did we ...
