... road, we pulled over and asked if we could take some photos which he agreed. This was the first time Sue and Ray had been this close to an elephant, we were so pleased we got to witness it! We took many photos and the mahout took some for us too. We asked the Mahout where he was taking his elephant, her name was Sanporn, to which he told us he was taking her for a bath in the river. After asking if it was ok, we ...

They were rock hard. Immediately in front was moored a kayak for our use.

... got one back from the guy i had breakfast with. He helped with my bag to the minibus. I said my goodbyes and read the note on the journey to the pier. I was so sad to leavr but the note was the sweetest thing ever. I felt so appreciated for just being me. I am so thankful to the group i met for providing me with the most special memories i've had on this trip so far. I have some new friends for life. I was now on my way to continue my journey to Khao Sok National ...

... for his permanently grim expression.

Lunch was a little disappointing - mixed fried rice, a watery soup and some watermelon. Russell and Mari filled up on purchases of grilled chicken and pancakes from the host of motorcycle vendors that gather in the school at lunchtime. Then it was the worst class of the week, and they lived up to expectations. The boys turned up 10 minutes late and wandered in and out of the room whenever they felt like it. We had no idea who ...
