... Street to find places to eat. We thought that because we were going out earlier tonight, more places would be open. The street was dead, only a few places open and all serving noodle soup. We sat down at a different place tonight up the top of street, the food tasted the same as last night. After food we bought new snacks tonight. They were like a see through crispy and really good!....something good to come from this place at ...

We turned up to the health centre on Thursday and were shocked to find it overflowing with people. From 9 until 12 Ocean and I helped by taking everyone's blood pressure. There was no time for a break but gradually the masses of people thinned until it was time for lunch. ... us a nice guesthouse to stay in and had a beer waiting for us. What should have taken 3 hours took 14, but Kim and were in pretty high spirits to have got to Pakse despite the cards being stacked against us. We also got to meet a really nice family and had fun towing each other with bungee cords for tens of kilometres. We finished off the evening with possibly the best Indian curry in Asia (excluding India) and making friends with a disabled dog, who the group dubbed Stephen Hawking.

From Don Det, we were set to be picked up by boat at the guesthouse to take us back to Nakasang, for our mini bus to Pakse, where we were to pick up a local bus to Savanakhet. We made this trip setting off at 11am with the idea that it would be getting us there for about 7pm, which we figured would be time enough to find a guesthouse and some dinner when we arrived. Despite making every single connection exactly on time (and me spending the mini bus ride to Pakse next to ...
