... when we will have enough time to go on one of these trips. All too soon we arrive in Surat Thani and head for our digs. Jamie will leave us here and head to the airport to drop the car and catch his flight. I'd managed to book a double room with air con and breakfast in a guest house here for 9! We pulled up outside but the gates were closed and a sign on the door said to use the mobile phone hanging from the door handle to call the owner! It turns out he is at ...

... the staff knew Thomas personally whether he had been, learning new shiny Thai words, playing pool, teaching English or his Constant "Sa-wat-dee kraup!" in the mornings to every person he saw. He tried his best to make as many friends as he physically could.
The hotel itself is beautiful, but once again i unfortunately booked us into a 'Thai business hotel' and once again we were practically the only non Thai people in the whole of the hotel. It didn't bother us ...

... the bus drove to the port where we would get on the ferry. There we waited a whole hour until we got off the bus and walked to the ferry. This had all seemed like a very long way to get back to the mainland. It was also pouring with rain the heaviest it's been so far as it didn't look like it was going to stop. At least we were inside. The ferry took an hour and a half and with the weather it was a bit of a bumpy ride. Luckily neither of us get sea sick and ...
