As we were busy trying to negotiate a better price the lady went abit nuts (I forgot to mention that we endured nights of Scottish family alcohol induced fude, and that we had tried to save their poisoned dog), anyways we had to get the boat and just left…dispite her efforts to get the boat ...

... to have conversations and meet a sad lonely westerner to make some money. But it is accepted here and i suppose it's nice that these girls are treated equally in Thai society. We were even lucky enough to have our photo taken with beautiful lady boys Tina and Lisa, the lady boys are often prettier and friendlier than any of the women! We decided to visit Chaweng one day but were disappointed as it had the charm of a dogs ****..so we were glad we stayed in Lamai! Unfortunately i've ...

I mean: Thai massage, oil massage, pedicure, manicure, facial, ... . We had our drinks and meals ON the beach for days: romantic! But now, we discovered real authentic Thai little 'restaurants'. The kind with a boat in the front full of fresh sea food in ice, a BBQ and a ...

The Beaches on Koh Samet

I recently spent some time exploring the beaches along the coastline of Rayong. This area is only two-three hours from Bangkok and counts as some of the most beautiful and exotic locations in Thailand. I spent the first two days on the mainland and you will find that the beautiful beaches there are often deserted during the week. However, if you want the white sand and crystal clear water then you need to take a boat to ...

Next stop - Ko Samet island

... and I were last on cause of the problems we had with the snorkels...We drove around most of the island, before the host said 'too big waves' and we did an about face turn to where the main pier is on Ko Samet where the 'fish farm' was located... This was quite surreal as it really was simply just a big, sad tourist thang. Seemed like there were lots of deep water fish, reef sharks, turtle, many other kinds of fish (probably about 12 or so species all in these ...

Koh Samui

... Whilst in Koh Samui we went on a boat trip to the Anthong Marine park which is where a lot of The Beach was filmed. Anthong National Marine Park is made up of 42 islands and islets that rise from the sea as dramatic walls of limestone rock. The main attractions are the small deserted beaches, the shallow warm crystal clear water, and interesting eroded rock formations. The morning was spent snorkeling which was beautiful despite the other 50 people ...

... job but in my desperate search for a job, I emailed him to see what the head master had said. He said that they would hire me to teach for them. Getting the job is one thing, the next thing is dealing with the paper work and visa. You need a work permit in order to work in Thailand. In order to get a work permit you need a non immigrant B visa. It used to be no problem to get a non B but the laws a changing here in Thailand. They are changing fast. I have to ...

... 2 hours bus for Bangkok. In a way, that was the first time we were all by ourselves, as Ian had been looking after us for the past few days. Thai buses are incredible...from one side you wonder whether you will ever get to destination, from the other they have air con and in this case computer allocated seating!!!
