    ... firstly that Swiss passports did not required a visa for NZ since there is a treaty in place between the two country's, secondly that I was on my way to pick up my Airplane in NZ and therefore only a one way ticket... had no avail... Finally a phone call to Immigration cleared things up which not to much delay for the rest of the 300 traveler on this flight .... but did earned me a few angry stares when I finally was let to board the Flight...... stupid ...

    ... walk (15 minutes), a walk to a lookout (3 hours), and then there are the 3, 4 or 5 day treks (tramps). People are signing in to advise them of their plans for these treks and to check on current track conditions. This place is like Crianlarich in Scotland. A dot on the map, but in reality a gateway to some of natures most spectacular and remote countryside. We opt for the 15 minute forest walk, while we talk about some other $$$ options.     ... TV show for the weather, yes the storm is coming through and expected to clear in our parts by lunchtime. Tina goes back to bed for a while. The not so gentle sound of the rain sends her to sleep. We had a chat to the BBH people about 'Plan B' - the Intercity Bus, but they advise as it is too late to book, it is a bit of 'pot-luck' whether there is room for both us and the bikes.     New Zealand is home to many Burns, which is one of the many ways they enjoy confusing visitors for whom English is a second language. These lovely locations are, of course, creeks, and there are five of them that featured prominently in our first ten days of 2015.
