... I am 1/2 hr (by plane) away from Tunisia. He was originally from Tunisia. He said--Maybe one day I will go back. Not sure he will though:) It;s so beautiful where he is.
After enjoying our first French crepe, we drove to our next stop Calvi....but before getting there we stopped a bit on our way to Corte (another city in the mountains) and then enjoyed some sun on the beautiful beach - Algajola. See next entries

Quick facts - Ajaccio is the capital of the French Mediterranean island of Corsica. It's is a beautiful small town (Population 65,500), with great people and history. For those who don't know, Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio in 1769. There are quite a few statues of Napoleon throughout the city and... almost every hotel:).

Had a wonderful week in Corsica - beautiful French Island in the middle of the Mediterranean - lots of beaches, mountains and little towns. The food and culture is much more Italian than French and pretty much no one spoke English. Went down South to Bonifacio first, then to Ajaccio which is the capital. Overall a very relaxing 5 ...

... the desk to check out at 5.30am we were told our transfer had already arrived! Check out was delayed a little as Tim had to pay for our first night, the extra one we had so that we could get into our apartment after we arrived last Sunday morning. We thought we'd already paid for this so it's something to settle when we get home. Our taxi took us past the Louvre on our way to Orly and we were treated to a beautiful view of this great building in the early morning light ...
