After the photo stop, ‘le petite train’ cut through and down on to Boulevard Lantivy. This road runs alongside Ajaccio’s main beach. We passed the small Casino and the Citadalle before turning back up Rue Bonaparte and then came to a halt in Place Foch from whence we started. The whole journey lasted just over 30 minutes. ... a photo stop where the road crossed the river and then continued along the gorge. This was where the bus driver “really earned his wages”, as Karl put it. The road was very narrow and there were times when it appeared that the tires were just inches from the edge. There were no guardrails and in most places room for only one lane traffic. Great little hotel with coastal views in Porto.

... honey etc. The only real industry is tourism, there is no heavy industry at all. Lots of those Moke cars around and quad type bikes, except bigger. Otherwise same sort of cars as we have at home,a lot of camper vans. Petrol is 1.61 € per litre, seems much the same as on the mainland which is surprising. The language almost seems more Italian than French but I guess there has been checkered history with I think something like 5 centuries of belonging ...

... and breakfast. On the way to the boulangerie we passed by a garage sale area. It looks like every Sunday, locals organize a garage sale, it’s pretty busy, I stopped for few minutes and took some pictures. You can find anything from clothing, arms, painting, cutlery to old jewelry.
