Delft is primarily known for its typically Dutch town centre with canals, also for the Dutch painter Vermeer and Delft Blue Pottery.<br>Thera drove us from Zevenhoven to this picturesque city in the province of south Holland where I was very impressed with the charm, pottery and the history surrounding the life and assasination of William of Orange at the Prinsenhof.

Ok, so we finally got internet access.... after what seemed like forever! We thought our hotel in Inverness (where we are now) had free wifi, only to learn that it would be 4 pounds per hour.... a little steep. We found a way around that, and a few pints later we're in a local pub that actually has free wifi.... and beer. ... We had coffee and went on a canal cruise which was really nice. Nicole and Raymond insisted on paying for everything while we were there including taking us out for a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant. Apart from spending time with Dave's family we spent one day in Den Haag and one day in Amsterdam. Unfortunately the good weather disappeared and we walked around in the rain most of the time.

I made some excuse about having to get up early, and got the hell out of there. I'm not even sure where I'm going with this story, but I only know that these two were the creepiest people I have ever met, in all of my travels!

... I with Kaatje. We then went to Liz's for a little bit to see her set up and Bud and Kaatje played together. Then went home and had dinner with Mom. After dinner at around 8ish I went over Liz's and we watched a movie / talked. So that was nice. I am tired and it is 0:26, aka 12:26 am so I am going to go to bed. I am not sure what is going on for tomorrow / this week. So goede nacht.

Hi Again from rainy stormy and freezing cold Amsterdam. Today has been really fun, and we did a ton of stuff, but the weather is absolutley horrible. ... driver obviously left me an halt further probably just to be annoying but I took the other bus for one halt on the reverse side. I met with Hanneke on Smaragplein and move to her place. It has click immediately and we had really a nice conversation. She has also wonderful pictures and especially lots of her in Croatia or climbing. She cooked me a dutch meal and we talked about anything and nothing while eating and so on. Then it was already time to sleep.
