I had never thought of travelling to Zurich only to take part in the Street Parade. But back in 2008 some friends wanted me to go there and I did not regret it. It is a real special parade with many friendly people in a very nice city near the Lake Zurich. The central station was also decorated and used for the party, and during night time the big station hall became one of the largest dancing clubs in the world. I can only tell people to go there and enjoy the great ambiance!<br>

Just a day trip to see this old city. Lots of brightly painted buildings with ornate oriel windows. Most of the windows were carved with scenes or fancy designs, sometimes painted, sometimes both. Lots of fountains and statues. Found a chocolate shop and pigged out.

Ouch! Sore calves, muscles, toes . . . So I'm back on the train after my all-too-short trip into the Alps. I'm resting my weary legs after doing far more skiing than I have done since my 30s. I was just inspired to keep going. I did, afterall, come 6,000 miles to do this. And to think, I was almost tempted to not bring my ski boots and to just stay in Zurich. Mistake! And I have Paul to owe for this. He's the one who usually gets me to do the things that I'm ...

Well it was certainly a scenic train ride from Milan to Zurich... Awesome. We have arrived at my Auntie Sharon's place (her hubby works out of Zurich for the mo'). It was certainly nice to have a home cooked meal for dinner (and the bacon and eggs for breakfast was sensational!!!) Off to a mountain tomorrow....

... and work day here in Zürich. Here's what we did: Our older son got out of bed, showered, and ate breakfast by 7:00 am, and then he took our two trash bags out to the curb for the weekly Thursday trash pick-up. After checking his email and reading the news, he left for school at 7:50 am. Meanwhile we parents were up and about while the younger boys had a chance to "sleep in" because Thursday mornings they don't have to be at school until 10:15 am. One of ...

... visited in 1986 (if it was good enough for my cousin, it is good enough for me). The dining room was paneled in light wood, very nice...and a very enjoyable evening. Shirley joined us this evening and the three of us had a good time. I can&#8217;t wait for tomorrow and the Glacier Express train trip to St. Moritz. Before I go any further, I have to say again that the scenery has been spectacular! I never get tired of looking at it.
