... 8217;s major orchestras! We actually met the voice and choral instructor as we walked around the campus and he gave us lots of information including that it costs $58,000 a year to attend. Of course he said there are scholarships and grants, etc. to help out with the cost. The buildings around campus were quite interesting – some dating back to 1928 and others more modern and even more building going on. The practice buildings were interesting as ...

Farewell, Charlevoix!

... about 12 inches in diameter.  The log was bisected by three chainsaw cuts that cut through about 3/4 of the log's length, dividing it into six separate sections.  A firestarter was inserted into the center of the log.  When Mike lit the firestarter, it quickly began to flame from the center and burned very nicely for almost two hours.  While the log burned, we ate dinner and visited.  By nine o'clock, Cindy and I had retired to finish packing the trailer ...

... were home. Denea and Jenna had to leave early in the morning, so we said our goodbyes before retiring to the trailer for the evening. It's been a fun week in Charlevoix, and I've had a great time seeing this part of the world for the first time. Tomorrow will be busy with packing up and getting ready to hit the road again. Monday morning we depart for the final leg of our trip, which should have us home to Las Vegas in about ten days.

... and aahed as the colorful rockets lit up the sky over lake Charlevoix. When the show concluded, people applauded and the boats in the harbor sounded their horns in approval. We waited for about 45 minutes for the crowds to clear out before we packed up our chairs and headed home. It was almost midnight before we finally said goodnight to everyone and retired to our trailer and to bed. All in all, it was a great day!
