... to the station. I sit on the bench and pick away at the ruby red fruit. Pomegranate is similar to sunflower seeds, in that psychologically you are eating, but physically you are consuming so very little.
I arrived in Faro early in the day, located the nearest internet cafe and sent out a flurry of requests to both Couch Surfing and WWOOFing hosts. I wander the streets, hoping to accidentally find the youth ...
... the kingdom of Dom Manuel I, the headland already had a beacon kept lit all night by the Capuchin friars. With a range of 95 kilometers, the present-day lighthouse is one of the most powerful in Europe. From the fortress of Sagres a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean is unforgettable.
Night show at Hotel Algarve Casino was spectacular. The dancers and the light show were truly unforgettable.

... Faro. "More expensive because they make you sick" isn't the slogan that Portuguese Rail use to advertise the appropriately named Alfa Pendular trains but it could be. ... discovering a gem of a local restuarant with amazing bbq chicken. 6 euro for dinner!!
The next day to fill in time before departing we looked at the Chapel of Bones, which was built from the bones of the monks from the local cemetary. Over 1200 skulls. Definite goosebumps eh!

Occasionally we´d go for a drink after work and i generally left the village in my day off. Friday and saturday nights i was usually out having drinks with my cousin Paulo, we even managed to go to the beach a few times at night... which was cool, i went for a swim on sat night and the water was so warm, it was unbelievable! i could ...
