    Hello!

... easy! They have another guest next week, fun!

I completed my lesson plans (all 24 of them!) and attended a curriculum planning session held via Google Hangout. It was nice to "meet" the academic director and other instructors. This program definitely has fewer resources than previous ones I've worked for, but I think it'll be fine as long as I stay resourceful and flexible.

... and she said that's not Vipassana! If it hurts THAT much, I need to adjust a little. She said that observe the pain for 5 minutes or so and then move if necessary. Wow! The wisdom! Packing for the Vipassana retreat!

A travel blog entry by sojanet on May 18, 2015

Over the weekend I got a call from the Vipassana place. Because it was an unknown number from DC, I let it go to voicemail. Turned out, the staff had a few questions for me before the retreat... He said they read my application and saw that I'm a yoga teacher who practices pranayamas, guided meditation, and candle gazing. He asked that during ...

Ah! Last day! They took me out to lunch at Ruby Tuesday and I got a nice gift too! Ahjummas shared how nice it's been to be able to do yoga together, how much they learned from the experience. ;_; I'm so happy I got this opportunity! It was nerve-wrecking at times, but I really enjoyed it :) Thanks mom and thanks Kay ahjumma for making it happen. Then ...

... pace of life. Next week, my mom and I are heading up to Virginia for the 10-day meditation retreat. I came across some stories about people up and leaving like 5 days in... I'm kind of scared. Ten days doesn't seem like a lot, but at the same time, it really is! Especially without any contact with the outside world...! We will see. Until then, I'm throughout enjoying doing the very basic minimum with my life. It's ...
