    Jurassic World

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 19, 2015

I went to see Jurassic World 3D with my parents. The movie tickets in this town are so cheap-- $12.75 for adults, $9 for seniors-- and that's for 3D!! There was live music across the street and overall a very good Friday night atmosphere in town! I thought the movie was very entertaining. The 3D aspect wasn't too astounding, like I never felt like the dinosaurs were right in front of me or coming towards me, but the creation of a theme park on screen was very exciting! Highly ...

    Last day of tutoring!

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 15, 2015

Today was my last day of tutoring Alice, a Korean middle schooler I've been tutoring for the past 2 months! We put together an independent study plan for the summer, and I wished her well for the coming academic year and her life in the US of A! I watched some ...

Microbio was definitely one of the hardest blocks in 1st year due to the sheer amount of memorization, so this is great! It's a fun way to ease back into things.

So yeah! Time has been going by steadiliy. I've been very content and grateful with where I am!

    10-day Vipassana Course

... to accept that positive sensations are temporary, so I shouldn't cling onto them.

Then we started Vipassana, basically a body scan, on Day 4, and that "stirred up the pot" violently. Day 4,5,6 were soooo hard. I wanted to run away, seriously, dear god. I really thought I might have serious issues where I'm just not made to deal with this kind of environment. There were moments during meditation where I was filled with so much anger ...
