    Jurassic World

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 19, 2015

I went to see Jurassic World 3D with my parents. The movie tickets in this town are so cheap-- $12.75 for adults, $9 for seniors-- and that's for 3D!! There was live music across the street and overall a very good Friday night atmosphere in town! I thought the movie was very entertaining. The 3D aspect wasn't too astounding, like I never felt like the dinosaurs were right in front of me or coming towards me, but the creation of a theme park on screen was very exciting! Highly ...

    Last day of tutoring!

Today was my last day of tutoring Alice, a Korean middle schooler I've been tutoring for the past 2 months! We put together an independent study plan for the summer, and I wished her well for the coming academic year and her life in the US of A! I moved here pretty much the same age as her, so I wanted to motivate her as much as possible :) I showed her mom and her around my parents' backyard garden/farm and picked some ...

I watched some ...

... list their guest room on AirBnB. It's a website where people can rent out lodging, usually their spare rooms or whole apartments but I've heard of people booking exotic things like a tree house or an igloo!! I heard really good things about it from both hosts and guests, so I talked to my parents and they were interested! So we set up a profile and had the first guest this week! The guest was super respectful, and the whole process ...

... ashram on and off for 2 years. Kira sat next to me in the meditation hall and thanked me for being such a "calm presence" next to her. I couldn't believe it! I thought I must've been extremely fidgety and distracting. The conversations I had were just so invaluable. It's incredible how strangers meet and live together in silence for 10 days.

At the end of the day, was the experience LIFE CHANGING? No. But I'm glad it wasn't. If I get absorbed ...
