Today was a short day, covering only about 250 miles from Marshall, MI to Charlevoix, MI. We departed the famous Camp Turkeyville about 10:30 AM after a morning of drinking coffee and finishing a few odds and ends of chores around the trailers. We headed north and stopped about two hours into the trip in Mount Pleasant to get a prescription filled for Cindy and for lunch at Ben****n’s. By 2:30 PM we were back on the ...

For a toll of $4 you get to cross the awesome Mackinac Bridge which takes you from St. Ignace to Mackinaw ...

... Park of the island. There is a high point on the island which has the remainder of a large flint rock where over time water freezes in the rock and causes the rock to deteriorate thus causing a hole. According to information from our tour guide it won't last much longer so they are doing as much as possible to preserve what's left. No one is allowed on it but we were able to walk beside it to an overlook to take pictures.

... grand Victorian lakeside mansions of Harbor Springs. I marveled at the sight of so many perfectly Painted Ladies with their lush, colorful gardens and green lawns that extended to the water's edge. Each magnificent estate had their own private Lake MI dock and most had a yacht or several sailboats. I was sorry that the rain forced ...
