The cruise took us across a large lagoon from the Dutch side to Marigot, the capital of the French side where we got investigate on our own for about an hour before returning to the ship via a scenic bus ride. This is a very hilly place and surprisingly busy in the cities. This place looks very popular with the yachties and it would be easy to while away a couple of weeks of vacation ...
... An elderly gentleman from somewhere in Asia decided to do his morning Tai Chi on the dock just behind "Dave". As he got into his routine a young Caucasian and his Islander Friend strolled by both smoking and one drinking a bottle of beer. I was struck by the irony of the "wisdom of age" and the "folly of youth" being so clearly displayed together in the blink of an eye.

Just a quick update; mainly for the family who are about to fly out and come over to join me :)
We had the Bimini and Spray Dodger brought to the yacht today; they look great but there are a few trims and adjustments they need to make so they've taken them back to the loft to work on them. Should be back and fitted to the yacht this afternoon.
They have started today on fabricating the Davits for the Dinghy which will also house the Solar Panels, Wind ...
Finally we are back in the water again but it wasn't a simple process. We missed three Causeway Bridge openings due to complications with the sea lift so I had to then wait for 1.5 hours for the next opening. Without a Bimini this meant the Cockpit was like being in an oven for 90 minutes whilst I waited for the bridge to open. I've got a touch of sunburn as a result! However ...

if to press me into a quick yes decision. “And we'll be tandeming with the instructor.”
This meant I'd not be alone. Pheewwww!
