... t leave until about 4 when I went out for a walk!. Tonight we met three couples from Renegades for dinner. On the way "home" we thought it was starting to rain because something was hitting the windshield. Turned out it was bugs, lots and lots of bugs. They almost covered the windshield. Not sure what we will be doing tomorrow, but thinking of driving down to Longview and Kilgore. We'll make that decision tomorrow morning.

Our day started with the decision on where to go and what to see today. We ended up driving south on 59 to Linden (same route as yesterday so far) then we headed east on 155. Along the way we saw a lot of little towns and some not so little ones. We also saw some interesting things and some OK things.

... on the square and got coffee at the Sweet Pea Bistro - very cute antique store. I love the town squares that many small towns have, but we miss them if we drive on the big highways. Called cousin Betty S. but no answer.

Spent the night in a screened shelter ($25) at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. I had no cell service but the nice park ranger lady let me use her phone to call ...

... slooooooowly slid backward on the hitch. It stopped a couple inches before it dropped off the hitch and onto the bed. Catastrophe averted. Pride and self-confidence significantly reduced. That was one of the worst feelings I've experienced.

Went out to get buzz cuts for me and Dean. He looks completely different! Had enormous burgers and way too many fries at Mt. Pleasant Burgers and Fries.

... its illegal to walk your cow down the street after 1pm on a Sunday, no flirting in public and heaps of funny rules like that. Then we had our lunch stop and I had a burger from whataburger, it was ok,bit I didn't think it compared to 5 guys. We're on our way to Dallas, we had a stop over on the side of the road where we met Jacks mum, she came and gave us cookies and cake she made from scratch, it was so sweet, made me really home ...
