Efter cermonien kom spillerne ind til opvarmning og igen steg stemningen og sådan forblev det indtil VM skulle åbnes af Sepp Blatter og Jakob Zuma, hvor stadion var næsten fyldt med 84.490.
Der var en fed stemning igennem hele åbningskampen, selvom kampen ikke var den bedste, men med et ok fair resultat. Det var fedt og være inde og se og en kanon oplevelse.
