... annoying. the table land by it self is a pretty nice place, especially for photography. You will have a 360 deg view of panchgani, and the sunset looks really nice. apart from that most other places will have similar offerings.
Nice place to relax for a couple of days, quite a few places to visit in and around panchgani and mahabaleshwar. many "points" to see, but the highlight will have to be the food.

... the women of the family and the children. They had two new sculptures of matching women dressed in extravagant saris and jewels and at their feet were offering of Indian sweets and fruit. The offerings were then distributed amongst all of the children that came to visit the house, and also a few plucky tourists who will be hotfooting it to the dentist as soon as we get back because the sweets are sweeet.

Well after our busy day on Friday a more relaxing weekend kicked off by a visit to the city of Pune which is about a 3 hour drive back towards Mumbai (the road signs pointing to Mumbai did make me a bit sad!). The city itself was on the whole a more organised affair, with bus and cycle lanes and maybe a little less traffic - although going back down the valley had us struggling and sweating in the heat all over again.
