With tent still intact, the early morning Pacific views made up for the challenging evening we'd just had. As we packed the tent away the wind was still gusting and probably due to our dietary restrictions we were feeling a little lethargic and happy that Santa Barbara (SB) was only twenty miles away. It was also pretty hot and by the time we'd reached the laundromat in Goleta, a few miles west of SB, we were well baked. Not for the first time, we went as far ...
... Chinese over the road from Sandpiper Lodge.
We arrived about 8.30 and were the last customers for the night. All those already present were young and speaking Chinese. I'm guessing students at Santa Barbara University. We tried the Hertz office in Santa Barbara the day after we arrived and were advised that there were two out at the airport in Santa Barbara, if we wanted to go and pick one up. We went and picked the car up ...
... right? I don't even have pictures because like I said, I didn't go anywhere. I have two days off of work this week: Sunday and Monday. Since the weather is supposed to be nice and warm, I will for sure go shopping on State Street and go to beach, my two favorite activities! I am excited that I finally get to do something of my life while I am here. I also might go to the Zoo. YAY!
