    EDIT: After spending the day in Manila it's quite charming, the people are wonderful, the traffic makes life feel exciting :)

    We were looking forward to a shopping trip in Asia's biggest Mall. Free shuttle from the hotel and that is as good as it got. The Mall was old, grey and full of naff shops and ****** food joints. Every time we walked through a different part of the Mall we were searched with the metal detectors. I was hoping to find some handbags to take home, and I am kicking myself for not buying ...

    ... However, strong headwinds and the whole detour around North Korean airspace thing did mean nearly 15 hours from boarding to deplaning.
