... you look there is a flag proudly flying. Whether it's a flagpole in the front lawn or a row of flags on the electricity pilons as you drive down the country roads, the national pride is evident. Even the graves we saw had flags instead of flowers.

After a full day, we are back in our lodgings with the fire going and feeling very content. We have mapped out our last day in Maine tomorrow and then heading on to Vermont.

One of my course mates brought her new drone and we got to fly it out on the green and take some photos.  I will add one of them she took with due note of its author. The photo workshop was all consuming but I did manage to shoot some pix.  Not ...

It’s the last day of the program, but it isn’t over yet! I got my bags packed before breakfast, and was eager to head down to the waterfront one last time for another trip out onto Penobscot Bay, this time on a fishing boat! There are a few websites people use to post journeys and requests, and the timebank and resilience hub also connect people to share journeys. Because Lesley lives in Freeport which is about 45mins drive north of where I am staying I said I would try and get public transport up to her to avoid here having to drive 30mins in the wrong direction. Even though lesley offered to pick me up, Im ...

... straight up the side of the Mt (see pictures). The view up top is spectacular and worth the hike.
Have dinner then drive back up Mt Battie to watch fireworks in Camden Harbor for the festival. Just sitting up there at night watching the lights of the town and boats is great but add in 25 minutes of good fireworks and you have a fantastic end to a busy day!
    Loving Maine! Good night!
