... on his crutches as he felt one of the screws inside his knee had worked it's way loose. He stayed in the car for the ferry trip. We arrived at Sami in Kefallonia and headed straight to the hospital. We were all a bit worried that the doc would have to open his leg back up! We were really thrilled to find Andy smiling and much happier after the doctor had seen him. The screw had worked it's way out so they took it out!! Apparently with minimal fuss through a small incision. ...

... night out in Ithaca. We had a lovely pre dinner drink with Andy and Marco and then headed down the little cobbled path to the local bar. We met Sue and Michael and Marco at Avra for a lovely Greek meal. Marky had roast octopus and I had moussaka it was nearly as good as mums!!!! We waddled up the cobbled path and hit the sack. Early morning pick up tomorrow with the boys to catch the ...

There's lots of incense being fluffed around by the priest, with little bells tinkling! Lots of standing up, then sitting down- then up again. The Greeks don't do anything by halves. They genuflect 5 times during each prayer!! We were getting RSI because we just copied everyone else!! ...

... ends up, 10 years later, with all men dead and and having to kill a bunch of guys who are after his wife. Comparatively, he had a much rougher time but I am pretty sure Homer embellished the story a little. On our last day on the beautiful Greek Island of Ithaca, Joanne and I were guided on a mountain walk by a Dutch woman who lives there. Her name is Ester Von Zuylen and she showed us ruins that some archeologists think are the palace of Odysseus. The place was ...

... was in a lot of pain. Marco had had to run him to the hospital. The doctor thought he needed antibiotics as the knee was inflamed. He may have twisted it somehow - we'll know more after his x-Ray on Tuesday. We went down to the village for tea- Marky had moussaka and I had lamb off the spit. Very yummy. We went back and spent some time with Andy. The antibiotics must be kicking in As he was dozing. Hopefully he will be feeling a bit better ...
