I don't have a lot to say about the village other than it was quite beautiful in a classic village type of way. Rolling green hills, vines climbing up ancient stone buildings, etc.
I may write more about it later, but for now I want to upload some photos while I still have wifi ...

Another overcast drizzly day but with fresh bread and pomme chaussons from the van to start off breakfast well. Not quite sure if we'd get anything done before lunch, so we ended up having a little driving tour around Gigny and it's environs. Havre Paisible the name of the gite means peaceful haven - and it largely was, except for the neighbouring church bells chiming loudly every quarter of an hour (seems a theme for this holiday) and the large agricultural ...

... Marin. Delicious chocolate and strawberry cake that was of course, home made from scratch by Gail. We took off in the early afternoon to go kayaking outside of Vezelay. The three hour journey in 2 person kayaks was really fun and an easy paddle. The boat company dropped us up river so all we really needed to do was drift ...
