    ... br> Fortunately, we did get to see some of Switzerland, because it is spectacular. The mountains are so steep and craggy. Massive waterfalls plummet probably thousands of feet. The mountains just shoot up nearly vertical from the valleys so the waterfalls have a long way to fall. Beautiful!

    ... Zurich was the half way point of our Europe adventure, so it was the perfect place to truly relax and catch up on some sleep. On Thursday (July 19th) we attempted to get an early start and thanks to me our sleepy start was about noon, lol.     ... the bottom of the mountain, a 30-minute gondala ride proceeded by a 5-minute aerial cableway ride up the mountain, and then a 40-minute train ride down the mountain (proceeded by a 1.5-hour boat ride across Lake Lucerne that we didn't have time for).     ... in a cab knowing it would cost us but had no idea where the heck our hotel really was. Driving and driving up winding roads in the dark I was getting a bit worried.
