We left Rimounski at about 8 AM this morning. We had a long day on the river but it was calm with little wind. The small towns and villages are pretty to look at and scattered along the river. There were several very long stretches with wind mills. Stainte-Anne-des-Monts Marina is a very safe harbor enclosed by high rock sea walls. I set up camp have a few beers with the other travelers and watch a stunning sunset over the St ...

1st Sept cont.

We drove for a few hours following the River Laurent as it got wider and wider the further we went. At 1.30pm we stopped at a picnic site to have lunch looking out over the water. After lunch we carried on along Hwy 132 swapping on and off Hwy 20 now and then due to road works and driving through some lovely villages. At around 6.30pm we stopped at another picnic spot to cook dinner and watch ...

... Ontario so we elected to use them to see more of Quebec. The Gaspe Peninsula was a good solution.

The peninsula is known for its lighthouses along the way around the entire mass of land. We elected to see a few of them at various locations around the peninsula. These pictures will be scattered throughout today, tomorrow, and likely even Tuesday.

We did a tour of Pointe-Au-Pere lighthouse, making our way up 182 steps and 2 ladders into the ...
