No photographs allowed in the palace (and lots and lots of stern women to enforce it!), but magnificent gardens where we could take photos - pity the rain was tipping down and it was 13˚. The City, with a population of over 5 million inhabitants, boasts the largest sea port in the country and is an important maritime centre.
