G&T all round to celebrate our arrival. Simon’s leg ached and his back problem was getting worse but he still struggled on into town (in the end it developed into sciatica).

Sunday - Up at 6:00 showered, and had breakfast. We cycled to the station without getting lost and caught a train into Amsterdam Centraal. (17.70 Eur each) We headed for a boat hire place.....we walked and walked and after 2 hours finally found that the one we were looking for had gone out of business. so we walked some more and found Sloep Huren. 110 Eur for 2 hours was well worth it - we circled and traversed the canals of Amsterdam!!!
