Samson still not 100% today. He woke with plenty of energy after a good night's sleep. We departed by 10.30 and headed onto the auto-bahn for Munich. The plan was to stop to visit the Audi factory on our way at Ingolstadt, but Samson fell asleep in the car saying he was cold again. We decided to press on to Munich and arrived about 2pm. We checked …

We had a good trip from Rothenburg to Munich with only a small incident. While waiting for a train in Steinach, an Italian lady started asking all of us if she was reading the information board correctly (in German) that the train we were waiting for wasn't coming. At all. Turned out she was reading it just fine. But we had the luxury of a rail …

We landed on Friday, 13th at around 10am. It was cold when we arrived and rained on and off most of the day. We were able to check into our hotel right away, which was very convenient. Marienplatz was just about a 10 minute walk from our hotel, so we walked there first. We went inside Petersckirche, and also climbed the 208 steps to the top! …

Melting in Munich

... ridiculously hot; no where around here seems to have air conditioning and we had to listen to the audio coming through the headphones in German and then finally in English. The sites we were shown weren’t that great either but we did see the Nazi headquarters where Hitler ran his campaign. Pretty crazy to think less than a hundred years ago possibly the evilest man in history was right here in Munich. Munich is basically a European ...

Then we went to a few little shops and we eventually found the Hoffbrauhaus (which is the biggest bar in Europe!) and had some lunch there. Dad drank a litre of Beer! And no surprise he had a headache. We learnt about how ...

The Sendlinger Tor location is fabulous. So close to many restaurants and within walking distance to everything! Also, right next to the metro. The neighborhood is cute, and even though you are in next to places that tend to get loud at night, you can't hear a thing!
