... however, the surrounding countryside is pretty - vineyards everywhere and distant snow covered mountains. We detoured to Desenzano on the banks of Lake Garda. Clearly a summer holiday town but a beautiful town situated on the shores of a huge lake. The water is crystal clear. Lunch at local trattoria consisting of local trout - scrumptious, a walk around town, purchase of veggies and fruit from local markets and off to the autostrada. ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. They just kept saying 'oh! pizza ohno' and making spinning pizza gestures (I think it means pizza chef). There is also an Australian staying in the town as a au-pair and she came too and tried to translate a bit. The family mostly cant speak any English other than the daughter who ...

... likely looking places there. Back inside. Read the instructions again. Hmm, says outside terminal 1, where are we? Aha, we think this is terminal 3. So wander around and finally find a sign to terminal 1, which is huge and multi-level. Up and down we go (remember we are dragging our luggage all around with us). No, that level is departures. Another level is something else - no idea. Eventually, we find the arrival level (it is the middle level of three, but the lift ...
