    Alvor was a treat. Arriving at about lunchtime we went to look at the Aire which was huge open and pretty full. Parked up by the beach instead and had Lunch and LUDO had a run before deciding to go to a site. We stayed for two nights in the 'tranquil' part of the camp.     ... along the canal through orchards up to the dam, eating oranges. Even though we walk through small farms with just about no traffic on the roads, there are always a lone restaurant or two on the way where we have coffee or beer. There are always a few locals outside smoking and drinking dinky bottles of beer. Like those very small bottles of Coke years ago.

    Talking of smoking I am soooo sick that I did not even consider having my regular once a year ...

    ... on the pavement in the sun, or even sometimes just in the middle of the cobbled streets. They certainly dont get up for pedestrians and you have to walk around them. We still cant operate the sattelite tv and have given up on that but watch videos and read a lot. We have even found a charity shop with lots of english books and get English newspapers.
