Having a 6+ hour drive ahead of us and plans for the destination, we decided to get going relatively early. ... ended I must complement Bernie Wilder for an enjoyable show. He is a harmonica player of all things and he does a fabulous performance. He has played with symphonies from around the world and played tonight with the Hellcats the resident band on the Eurodam this voyage. We all wondered how could a harmonica player do a solo or play accompanied by a symphony when we went and all I can say is he did wonderfully. Lac St-Jean and Saguenay fjord
... bloody entrance! :-D At least it gave us the chance to see Ste-Monique and to have a picnic on the lake at Peribonka! :-)
When we finally reached the park, we had a walk on the beach Baywatch-style, the lake is so huge that it looks like the sea... then a lovely walk between the trees, chit-chatting and admiring the views, the little lakes, forests, sunset. Lovely day!

We're finally leaving the cities behind us and delving into nature... trees everywhere, road winding through the forests, this is proper canadian outdoors as I imagined it. Funny road signs warning for collisions with caribous and frozen roads... And the canadian radio with country music and funny accents for the soundtrack to our trip :-)

Ein Überbleibsel der letzten Eiszeit
... Wale an (darunter auch die grössten Säugetiere der Welt, die Blauwale)... Leider haben wir dieses Mal gar keinen von den grossen Fische gesehen :-(
In Lac St. Jean machten wir einen kurzen Übernachtungsstop und verliessen diesen am nächsten Morgen sogleich auch wieder (unheimlich windig und sehr kalt). Nun sind wir im Parc National de la Mauricie, nordöstlich von Montreal gelegen, welches unser heutiges Etappenziel ist.
