We arrived in Rome late in the afternoon and walked to the Colosseum a few kms from our hotel and found a little café opposite this imposing structure for dinner at 'dusk'. We were hoping to see this familiar attraction under lights but it was still very light at 9pm when we headed back to the hotel.
