Heading home covered 500 miles today, Seen lots of I-80 and mountain passes. The country is beautiful but don't think I would want to live there (150 miles from anywhere and 50 from the mailbox).

... Thankfully Logitech makes a tough mouse. My work laptop went off once too while I was checking something in a book. Luckily it survived the journey. Also, there is no internet to speak of along I-80 in Nebraska. Work called. The website I support at work was broken. Could I take a look? ... Our cabin was a little less than we expected....pretty bad - old, creepy and had not been updated ever. There was a restaurant right across from our cabin. We were one of two couples in the dining room but there were a few grungy cowboys at the bar. ... and hiked a little bit. There is alot of granite in this area which was just a really amazing color and the rock formations just looked fake. From there we went to the Ames Monument which was in the middle of nowhere but was put up in honor of someone who had alot to do with the railroad.
