      The day has finally arrived when Johnnie and I are off to Australia. We have both been up since 5:30 this morning with very little sleep.       T'was the night before take off when all through the house,
      all the creatures were stirring even ourselves.
      Johnnie is crazy and I'm following suit.
      Kitty is thinking, "Can't wait to give them the boot. The stockings are hung and a decorated tree. My oh my, an adventure for me!!!!"

      What a miserable place!
      It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
      This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.

      ... a half hour while it passed over. Just the perfect addition to a full day. The good news was that the temperature rarely got over 90 as the elevation, coupled with the cloudiness, kept the sun at bay. We came rolling in to the KOA at about 8:30 to find the place closed up tighter than a drum, with no indication of a cabin key for us.
