      Packed our stuff and it was off again. This time to Montgomery. Stopped at Race Trac convenience store. Like our QT. Angie bought 2 large cans of boiled Cajun Peanuts to bring home.

      Started getting some rain going north on I-75 around Gainesville. Went north into Alabama on state route 231. Went through Dotham, Ozark, and Troy. Very beautiful country.

      Got into Montgomery about 7 p.m. It was cold and windy.

      Today we stopped in Alabama. We refilled gas for $45.51. It was a quick stop and now we're headed towards Tallahassee.

      ... Virginia, much of the early Confederacy was formed here. We were able to tour the Presidential Mansion, which is free to the public. Many of the furnishings were owned by the Davis family, and there is much in the way of interesting historical memorabilia throughout the mansion.

      We left New Orleans. this morning and are on our way to Alabama to visit old yachting friends that we had not seen in more than 10 years. They live close to the Tennessee border and as the distance was more then 800 km we did it over two days and arrived at Richard and Mary's place just after lunch on Saturday.
